Advanced Technology Systems

High Capacity Cooling Facilities

The purpose of most central high capacity central cooling plans is to serve users, typically distributing chilled water throughout a campus or a building. It requires a knowledge of coil characteristics, temperature and pressure control, and variable speed pumps. One of the most important aspects of chiller plans is the need to pay attention to the integrated systems associated with a new or modified plant. We have experience with the design and construction of Mod 7 at the University of Pennsylvania campus.

SCADA Systems

The term SCADA usually refers to the centralized systems which monitor and control entire campuses or systems over large areas through remote terminal units or by programmable logic controllers. We are in the process with a team of software developers and engineers to implement a new system at the University of Pennsylvania campus to replace the existing Comdale System.

High Performance Sustainable Designs

High performance and sustainable teams and their designs offer significant value to projects. The systems should be simple, have an effective plan for execution, and a process for verifying their functionality. Verification by an experienced third-party representative with a core on-site experience is valuable to all projects with high performance designs.

To ensure success one must consider the value of having a member of the team who specializes with building a team, reinforcing the owners objectives, troubleshooting, verifying functionality of the systems, and who specializes in effective building turn-over. We work with owners and design teams.
