Performance Surveys

Many existing buildings have capabilities built into their normal operations that allow performance studies and retro-commissioning to occur. Often and due to time and experienced personnel these capabilities have not been programmed or adjusted properly. When a building owner finds themselves with a building that they think does not perform STPCx can carry-out a survey and coordinate with the appropriate team when necessary. A detailed report prepared by the reviewing commissioning agent includes field conditions, a remedial plan, and when proposed savings.

Renovations / Upgrades

Mechanical and controls infrastructure often becomes obsolete or needs to be rebuilt several times over throughout the lifetime of a building. Many buildings were designed with basic systems when energy was inexpensive. Often renovation projects are unique to each facility and require the assistance of a through and trained team. We have performed many performance surveys on existing buildings to make improvement recommendations.

Technology Integration

As technologies sophisticated and comprehensive systems are often integrated or consolidated into one network. Each system can be connected to a common network and share information with other systems. We provide our clients with the expertise and knowledge to help integrate these systems and take advantage of these new technologies. Our approach to the commissioning with a complete controls and mechanical expertise covers all aspects of technology integration.

Tenant Improvement

Tenant improvement projects have been a significant portion of STPCx’s work experience. The firm has vast experience with commissioning and the equipment for space improvements desired to either make the existing space more comfortable and save energy or attract new tenants through the confidence of third-party commissioning.
